Parent View - Give Ofsted your view on your child's school

Ofsted Parent View gives you the chance to tell Ofsted what you think about the education your child receives at our school.
The questionnaire can be completed at any time - you don’t have to wait until the school is being inspected.

If the Headteacher and Governing Body have to make a decision to close the school for any reason, information/updates will be published as soon as possible on the School Closures section of the Telford and Wrekin website.

If you do any on-line shopping, please register with this site. There are hundreds of sites accessible through it, at no cost to you at all (hard to believe, but it’s true), and the school can benefit immensely from donations from the companies. It really is money for nothing!

Bug Club – our online eBooks reading scheme – is moving to a new URL with an improved look and feel and functionality, including the option to read Bug Club on iPads. Our Bug Club upgrade has now taken place so use the above link when you and your children access Bug Club at home. If you have one, you'll now be able to access Bug Club's eBooks on your iPad. To do this, you'll need an iPad 2, 3 or 4 or an iPad Mini, with operating system iOS 7.0 or above and it is recommended that you use iPad’s default Safari browser. If you use Bug Club on a laptop or desktop computer at home, it is recommended that you use Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox web browsers. If you prefer to use Internet Explorer, you will need at least IE10 in order for the content to work. Unfortunately, Bug Club won’t be compatible with any Android devices.

If you have any questions about our Bug Club upgrade, please speak to your child’s class teacher. Happy reading!

The class ‘Super Mathlete’ trophy seems to have spurred the children on.  Our  individual ‘Maths Magician’ owls will be awarded to the child in each class with the highest weekly points total. (Oscar, the mathematical owl, will stay in school, but will be in the care of that child until the following Friday).  If your child has misplaced their Mathletics login details, we will be happy to issue another copy of them.

Times table recall speed is fundamental to later success in maths lessons; yet it's not always easy finding engaging ways to encourage your children to do daily practice.   Our subscription to TT Rockstars is aimed at encouraging children to learn their tables by working towards turning their own personal ‘heatmap’ green and sharing in friendly inter-class and global competitions.

Incorrect answers are always immediately corrected in front of the player so that they start to associate the correct answer to every question.  The code behind the scenes works out which times tables facts they are consistently taking longer to answer and then it gradually starts to present these facts more frequently until they have mastered them.
