Year 3- 12.04.24

Year 3 had had a busy first week back after Easter.

We have started a new topic all about the Ancient Egyptians, and the children are keen to learn more.

In English, we started looking at stories, and watched a film about a man getting stuck in a pyramid. We will be looking at the features of story writing and building up to write our own stories.

In maths we are starting to learn about Fractions and looking at how we can use our times tables to help with this.

In History, we looked at artefacts from Egypt and guessed what they might be.

In P.E we are beginning to learn all about tennis and using the skills to build up to our own tennis match.

In French we are learning verbs such as; to cook, to skip, to ride and to sing. We are building up to write a simple sentence.

In reading, we are looking at the text ‘Lost in Egypt’ and are using our inference skills to help us answer the questions from the text

 Miss Azzopardi and Mr Baker.
