Reception have had a wonderful week this week, learning all about nocturnal animals. In Forest School we looked for signs of these animals, such as a patter of foot prints.
Mrs T made a very welcomed visit on Monday morning for our music and songs of praise session. We have also started to practice our songs for the nativity and are feeling more confident each day.
In maths we have been learning about one more and one less than a number, using songs and rhymes to help us spot the pattern and value. The children are now able to recall one more and one less than a number at speed!
Home reading and homework
Maths homework this week is to practice your number formation. Phonics homework this week is to practice reading the paper ditty and books that have been sent home.
Please find the nativity song sound clips on our class page. Your child has been sent home with lyrics to help them practice.

Your child has also chosen a picture book and a reading book for pleasure. They will get to choose a new book each Friday and need to bring this into school for the following Thursday. The corresponding sound blending book/ ditty has been allocated to your child’s Oxford Owl account for the week.
